Meet Bob Adams

Bob Adams has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University, and he became fluent in Spanish studying at La Universidad Iberoamerica in Mexico City. He earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Management from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.  While earning his M.S. degree he also specialized in Safety Science at Indiana of Pennsylvania (IUP).  He started his environmental career as an Analytical Chemist for Lord Corporation in 1990.  As the Environmental Laboratory Supervisor he wrote the Quality Manual for PA State Laboratory Accreditation and maintained the accreditation during his tenure.

He specialized in air sampling and testing, including, In-situ Vapor Sampling (ISVS) for Superfund sites, Industrial Hygiene sampling and analysis of air borne contaminants, Clean Air Act compliance sampling for Volatile Organics in the adhesive industry.  He also led the team in sampling and analysis of groundwater sampling for Volatile Organics (VOA), and Inorganics.

He was the Site Safety and Health Officer for Lord Corporation’s Erie location for some 400 employees, ensuring OSHA compliance and much more.  He was responsible for all Safety related training including Behavior Based Safety (BBS), Lockout/Tagout, Hearing Conservation and much more.  During his tenure as Safety Officer his facility earned an award from the company CEO for going over 1000 days without an OSHA recordable injury.

Bob’s professional career spans over 26 years where he has enjoyed much success. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family Aaron, Abigail, Hannah, Isabella and Mia as well as his beautiful wife, Kim. His hobbies include bicycling, golfing, muzzle loading and hiking.
